                                              Stress Related Diseases

A mismatch between personality type and the current situation creates stress. This is another way of saying, that the individual, cannot cope with current inputs, because of their fundamental organisation. (personality)

A good starting point is an article by Korte SM 2005 "The Darwinian concept of stress:..."
The two types of personality considered, were "Hawks and Doves".
1. Hawks preferentiall use fight-flight strategies for their behaviour (engaging action response)
2. Doves use a freeze-hide strategy (passive action response)
The two personality types, have a correspondence to adaption, success and disease.

When the personalty fails, different disease patterns, might emmerge. The authors argue, a possible situation as below.

HAWKS  DOVES
Prone to violence   Anxiety Disorders
Impulse control disorders   Metabolic Syndromes
Hypertension   Melancholic Depression
Cardiac Arrhythmias  Psychotic States
Sudden Death   Infection
Atypical Depression
Chronic Fatique States
Inflammation
