When things go wrong, we often hear people say its "genetic" or its in
the family. It is certainly true, that some bevaviours and traits,
appear fixed and unchangeable.
1. Hair colour
2. Body shape
3. Longivity
But this issue is worth exploring a little more.
What we are really saying is this: My structure is the result of
inputs, over millions of years, which stopped at conception, birth,
adolescence or adulthood. But how true is that ?
2. I have become fatter, and my bones have changed shape
3. Certain lifestyle changes have altered my longivity
The genetic card, is often used in an explanation, as an excuse for laziness. Searching for contemporay inputs takes effort, perception and due diligence. Epigenesis, is the general term given to inputs superimposed upon our genetic endowment. We are either blessed or cursed with our original structure, but it does not end until death.
Probably, all medical conditions, are mutable by contemporary inputs. The challenge, is to find them.
