 Divergence

Divergence is the common observation that a disturbance effects more than one entity. It is the rule rather than the exception.

Our Disturbances can effect 

1. Ourselves

2. External entities

Divergence is NOT a sequential trial and error. It is a disturbance spread to multiple entities. There are selection pressures away from divergence. Divergence increases the probability of multiple inputs. This decreases the probability of establishing equilibrium, due to the complex task of dealing with multiple inputs.

Both predator and prey tend to to be quiet. Neither create unwanted attention. On occasions there may be value, such as a lion spreading panic among a herd.

Disturbing the environment may be necessary for survival, but focus is the preferred option over a broadcast.

Divergence can be PART of a Trial and Error strategy. As a rule we would expect Convergence to increase, in order to maintain a probability of equilibrium. (C/D maximizes)
